In today's article, I have the pleasure of demonstrating another (the second one), unconventional way to create a home theater in the garden.
This proposition may interest primarily those who dream of having their own home theater but do not have the suitable space in their home. This could be due to a lack of dedicated room or concerns about sound isolation, especially when there is a bedroom for household members in the adjacent room. Containers have applications not only in transportation but also as mobile customer service offices for developers, offices at construction sites, tourist modules for rent, mobile restaurants, or even pools. We are the first company in Poland to propose an original concept of creating a cinema in a container.
Why consider a home theater in a container?
Not everyone realizes how diverse containers can be utilized and aesthetically arranged. They are not only practical but can also be attractive in appearance. The main advantage of choosing a cinema in a container is cost savings. The costs of this solution are much lower than building a dedicated garden cinema cottage, which can mean savings of up to 200,000 PLN if we talk about a construction to a developer's standard. Of course, if we decide to encase the container to conceal its nature, these costs may increase slightly, but they still remain an attractive alternative.
Isn't the container too small?
If we think of a traditional container as a place for a cinema, it may seem that the space is too limited. However, multiple containers are often combined to create larger modules, offering many possibilities. By combining two modules, we get a space with an area of 34.1 m2, in which we can place not only a cinema hall but also a minibar, a restroom, and a vestibule with closets.
Cinema Room
Despite the small area of the hall, measuring 24.2 m2, we managed to fit a 140-inch, fixed 16:9 screen. A Sony 4K projector is responsible for displaying the image. The seats are arranged in two rows using a platform, allowing a total of 7 people to enjoy the hall. Despite the limited space, we can use a Dolby Atmos 7.2.4 sound system, consisting of seven surround speakers, two subwoofers, and four ceiling speakers. Automation is achieved through the Control4 system, enabling easy and intuitive control of the cinema, lighting, and electronically controlled curtains. Control can be done using a smartphone or a universal remote.
