An English Manor in a Modern Edition

Undoubtedly, one of the most interesting projects we have had the opportunity to work on is a historic manor near London. Protected by a conservation officer, the complex consists of a main house, eight additional buildings, and an outdoor pool. What sets this project apart is its size and the scale of changes that have been introduced.

Smart Home in a Historic Estate

The eight outbuildings have been completely rearranged. The largest one is now a home fitness centre with a fully equipped gym, half a basketball court, a relaxation area, massage tables, and a bar with healthy snacks. It's the perfect place for those who value physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.

A slightly smaller building now serves as a luxury spa with a dry sauna, wet sauna, and experience shower. The latter is definitely the main attraction of this place. Various water effects, changing colours, and sounds, and many nozzles provide incredible experiences during bathing and are the perfect place for relaxation and relaxation.

The third building has been rearranged into a home cinema for 9 people with a Dolby Atmos speaker system 9.4.4 and top-class audio-visual equipment. The whole is managed by the KNX and Control4 system, which ensures ease of operation and integration between different devices and systems.

In the remaining buildings, there are:

  • a guest house with a bedroom, a large living room, a kitchenette, and a bathroom,

  • a relaxation and cigar smoking area,

  • a museum with vintage cars,

  • a covered parking lot,

  • an entertainment centre with a bar, a large TV, a kitchen, and a dance floor.

Modern Technologies, Intelligent Solutions

The property is equipped with a range of advanced technological solutions. It is worth paying particular attention to the light control system (98 lighting circuits in the house and 130 circuits in the additional buildings and garden), which allows easy control of the entire property. In addition, in the very large gardens, the lights turn on automatically depending on the time of day, highlighting the elements of external art.

An important aspect is the temperature control throughout the property, which is important due to the status of the historic building, which could not be insulated with modern methods. Individual temperature control in each room ensures comfort and energy efficiency.

Advanced Security Systems

The advanced heating system for the entire property uses energy obtained from a ground source heat pump. Additionally, the property is equipped with an access control system, an alarm system with 49 CCTV cameras, and biometric security systems for selected rooms. Each building is equipped with control monitors for two gates and access to some buildings on the property (e.g., the cinema and a separate wine tasting building).

Modern Amenities

Multimedia also plays an important role. The multi-room audio system covers 32 zones, and the multi-room video system integrates as many as 7 televisions. The satellite signal is distributed to all buildings using fiber optic technology, ensuring excellent picture and sound quality.

Additionally, the property offers amenities such as heated mirrors that react to humidity, automatic lights in passages and toilets, and a light dimming system depending on needs. The light switches were custom-designed to fit in with the decor of the historic, conservation-protected property.

What sets this property apart is not only luxury and comfort but above all the intelligent combination of tradition with modernity. Each element has been designed with maximum convenience, safety, and aesthetics in mind, creating a unique place to live and relax.
